Personal Profile:

Saurabh Anand is an experienced business management professional, trainer and second generation entrepreneur with expertise in technology, strategy, analytics, business management and learning and development. He has lived and worked in India, Singapore, Philippines, Germany, UAE and USA and has travelled extensively in Asia, Europe and USA which has helped him develop excellent cross-cultural skills and sensitivities. As a son of two of the pioneers of training in India, Saurabh has grown up steeped in management and training principles.

Saurabh is a Distinction Engineering Graduate from the University of Mysore, India and a Distinction MBA Graduate from the Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Philippines. He has also been an exchange student at the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth, New Hampshire, USA.

Professional Profile:

Saurabh started his professional career in 2000 with i-flex Solutions (now Oracle Financial Services) as a technology consultant in its Banking Products Division. He was hand-picked to manage and lead implementations and provide user training for high profile projects in Singapore and Germany.

After graduating with an MBA in 2006, Saurabh worked as a consultant with Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF) in Singapore in strategy consulting for large companies and government agencies, including the People’s Association. He consulted on feasibility studies, financial valuations, exchange listing criteria and internal audits for clients in South East Asia and the Middle East.

Saurabh then joined RedPill Solutions Pte. Ltd. (acquired by IBM in 2009) in Singapore and did strategy and analytics consulting for clients in South East Asia and the Middle East. His projects included customer data analytics, channel partner engagement, rebranding strategy and simulation.

In June 2009, Saurabh founded Accord Business Solutions Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. Accord offers learning and development solutions to corporates, government and educational institutions. Under Accord, he designs and facilitates workshops on analytics, soft skills, business skills and financial skills for clients. Saurabh’s rich and varied experience combined with his consulting background and excellent facilitation skills make his workshops fun, engaging and insightful. He is equally comfortable with technical and quantitative topics as with non-technical ones.

Saurabh has an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) qualification. He has also served as an executive committee member of the Association of Professional Trainers, Singapore and currently serves as an empaneled trainer of the Civil Service College, Singapore. Through the Civil Service College (CSC), Saurabh conducts data analytics and data visualization workshops for all agencies of the Singapore Government.

Some of his recent clients include CSC, HDB, NTU, NTU-ideasinc, People’s Association, Capitaland, CIMB Bank, UOB, Schlumberger, Vishay Intertechnology, SAP, Singapore Police Force, Tenova Bateman, HDB, RedHat, Berlitz Global, Sanmina, Marina Bay Sands, National Skin Centre, UPS and Sheth Leadership Academy.

Training Experience in analytics:

Since 2013-14, Saurabh has been running popular and successful data analytics workshops for the Civil Service College (CSC) and participants have included almost all agencies and statutory boards of the Singapore Government. He has created and delivers 4 different analytics workshops for CSC on topics like basic data analytics, advanced data analytics, data visualization and business intelligence. He has trained over 3,000 public service officials in classroom workshops on analytics (including data visualization and predictive analytics).

Apart from the open enrolment workshops, he also runs multiple customized / in-house analytics workshops for BCA, MINDEF, AVA, PA, MCI, Sport SG, ITE, MND and MAS through CSC. He was awarded the “Innovation for Impact Award” by CSC in 2016-17.

In addition to the above, Saurabh has also given seminar talks on Analytics for Non-Analytics Professionals at HDB in 2015 and 2016. He has also given talks on analytics at HTA and government agencies in the Treasury Building. He also conducts analytics workshops for Capitaland, People’s Association, HDB and NTU.

Consulting Experience in analytics:

Saurabh is often called upon to consult on and share his thoughts on analytics initiatives by different agencies of the Singapore government – especially related to training for analytics skills’ competency development. He also helps agencies design road maps to build analytics competencies at all levels within their organizations.

At CSC, he vetted the analytics competency frameworks for service officers and policy making officers to identify gaps in existing courses. He has also consulted on, designed and developed 4 different analytics courses at CSC.

Saurabh also consulted with BCA to develop a customized course on analytics based on their internal competencies identified. He was also invited to present on analytics to the CEO of BCA and his leadership team to help them prioritize analytics driven initiatives. He has trained all the appointment holders of HDB and helped them identify analytics projects to undertake. He was also invited to conduct an analytics workshop for the senior management of HDB.

He has also consulted with the Students and Academic Services Division of NTU to help them with their objective of building analytics capability within NTU staff.
