There are 4 categories of membership. Upon admission, the member is deemed to agree to uphold the professional image of APTS and live by its core values. APTS shall feature positive feedback from clients on its members and at the same time, also reserves the right to investigate on complaints which may lead to termination of membership. Interested applicants are hence encouraged to be familiar with what APTS stands for before applying.
Professional Member (PM)
Ordinary Members who in the view of the Executive Committee (EXCO) have made exemplary contributions to the field or profession of training and Association of Professional Trainers (Singapore), and have met the criteria as set out by the EXCO. They shall be admitted as Professional Member upon approval of membership by the EXCO. To apply for PM, proceed to fill in the PM Supplementary form here.
Ordinary Member (OM)
Persons who are working as Professional Trainer and those who aspire to be Professional Trainer in their normal course of work and who are so properly qualified. They shall be admitted as Ordinary Member upon approval of membership by the EXCO.
Corporate Member (CM)
Corporations/Organizations registered in Singapore whose business nature is related to training. They shall be admitted as Corporate Member upon approval of membership by the EXCO.
Associate Member (AM)
Persons who do not possess the requisite qualifications to be an Ordinary Member. They shall be admitted as Associate Member upon approval of membership by the EXCO.
Proof of membership with APTS is via the official Membership Certificate AND the member’s displayed profile in the website.
Membership in the Association of Professional Trainers (Singapore) is by application on a prescribed registration form, with payment of the Entrance Fee and an Annual Subscription. To apply, proceed to fill in the form here.
To acknowledge members’ loyalty and support, those who joined before 1 Jan 2014 shall continue to enjoy joining/renewal rates as follows:
Entrance Fee: S$50 (one-time payment only for new members)
Professional Member: S$200 per annum
Ordinary Member: S$120 per annum
Corporate Member: S$240 per annum
Associate Member: S$80 per annum
New members who join on and after 1 Jan 2014 onwards shall follow the fee structure as stated below. Rebates will be given in recognition to loyal members after three consecutive years of membership.
Entrance Fee: S$50 (one-time payment only for new members)
Professional Member: S$240 per annum. 4th year onwards at $200;
Ordinary Member: S$180 per annum. 4th year onwards at $120;
Corporate Member: S$360 per annum. 4th year onwards at $240;
Associate Member: S$120 per annum. 4th year onwards at $80;
APTS supports lifelong learning. Hence for retiree memberships, the entrance fee is waived and the monthly subscription is reduced by half.
For the ease of administration, the first payment will be pro-rated to June and the subsequent renewals will be carried out in Junes. The APTS Executive Committee will decide on the suitability of each application for membership and reserves the right to decline any application without disclosing the reasons. Members who fail to be prompt in renewal payment will be subjected to new registration fees including entrance fee upon rejoining.

Cheque Payment
Cheques should be crossed “A/C Payee only” and made payable to
“Association of Professional Trainers (Singapore)“.
Please note that the bank will reject the cheque if the “(Singapore)” is omitted. Fees, if incurred, due to this will be borne by payer.
